We offer you a range of practice subjects including placements at the Springvale and Monash Law Clinics - Clayton, student internships and clinical externships so that you can understand and appreciate how theory comes to life as it is put into practice.

Student experience and learning opportunities
Our unique Student Experience and Support program offers you many options to develop and support your skills and experience at Monash Law.
All programs aim to foster engagement and a sense of community within the Faculty of Law and provide students with diverse and enhanced opportunities for core and co-curricular experiences.
Some of the programs include the Law School Ambassador Program, Peer Mentor Program and the Maddocks High Academic Achievers' Program.
Students can also become involved in a range of co-curricular activities which provide further learning opportunities and social engagement.
The Monash Law Students Society (Monash LSS) is the largest voluntary student organisation in Australia. It provides support and a wide variety of events, services and activities for Monash law students.
The Monash LSS is a unique and integral aspect of studying law at Monash University and will help in your transition to university life. It will also enhance your experience as a university student.
Throughout the academic year, the LSS run a number of social activities and events including integration programs for all first year students, orientation camps, parties and the always popular Annual Law Ball, the highlight of the LSS event calendar.
Apart from organising student-run tutorials, revision seminars and faculty consultation, the LSS also runs competitions that train students in practical legal skills including client interviews, mooting, negotiation and witness examination.
