Rachel is a lecturer at Northumbria University. She has recently completed her PhD in clinical legal education, specifically looking at the knowledge, skills and attributes which are needed to start day one training competently and whether live client clinics can develop them. Rachel continues to publish on this area. She also has a research interest in animal law, which she teaches. Northumbria University’s Student Law office now has a policy clinic, in which Rachel has a firm. This conducts research for charities and organisations, wanting to reform an area of law or influence policy.
