Law professor's new ABC radio show
Exciting news for AFL fans - Monash Law School's Associate Professor Kate Seear has announced her ABC podcast The Outer Sanctum is being expanded into an on-air show on ABC radio.
The live-to-air Outer Sanctum show on ABC Local Radio will run for the duration of the 2018 AFLW season.
This will be a first for the ABC: an all-female football show, covering all the big stories from the second season of the national AFLW competition.
"I'm thrilled to have the opportunity to be a part of it," says Kate. "We will cover all the big football stories each week, alongside a discussion of important issues such as diversity, inclusion, equality and human rights through sport."
The Outer Sanctum is hosted by Nicole Hayes, Emma Race, Alicia Sometimes, Lucy Race, Felicity Race and Kate Seear.

The Outer Sanctum podcast schedule will continue as normal, so there will now be two Outer Sanctum offerings each week.
The radio show will be the more topical of the two, featuring stories about the games, players and coaches. The podcast (now in its third season) will continue to focus on stories and voices that you don't usually hear though mainstream footy media.
"In the last season, for example, we were the first to interview transgender footballer Hannah Mouncey about her bid to play AFLW," says Kate.
"We also explored the links between sport and human rights, though an in-depth interview with the Director of the Castan Centre for Human Rights Law, Professor Sarah Joseph, and examined how sport can tackle violence against women, with long-time campaigner and former footballer, Phil Cleary. You'll hear more of the same this year."
The first live-episode will go to air this Saturday 20 January from 11am to midday on 774 ABC Melbourne. You'll also be able to catch up on previous episodes on the ABC Listen app.
