Information for volunteers
What are you looking for in a volunteer?
Volunteers must display a keen interest in either social justice or the environment, or both! Much of what the PLN does requires delegated tasks to be completed by volunteers and then be communicated back to the group. So volunteers must be organized and committed, but all we ask of our volunteers is enthusiasm and the ability to contribute; specific time requirements can be flexible and dependent on the events running. Volunteers might like to arrange their own projects or help out with small tasks, or take on a large project such as the conference.
No prior experience is required. The PLN will provide volunteers with a wealth of knowledge regarding event management, marketing, networking and careers. What we require of our volunteers is great communication skills, motivation, commitment, reliability and wealth of ideas.
