Interests in criminal law, administrative law and general litigation
Qualifications/skills required
Qualifications and skills vary depending on the role and position. Victoria Police has many different departments such as Infrastructure and IT, human resources, industrial relations, Occupational Health and Safety and licensing regulation areas that require varied skills.
What electives/areas of study are viewed favourably?
Criminal law, criminology, administrative law etc. for legal positions depending upon the role being considered

Any work that demonstrates varied life experiences and an ability to work in small or large teams and communicate well with others

- Law graduates regularly apply for all advertised positions at Victoria Police.
Law graduates also apply to become police officers, performing a range of general policing duties before specialising in a law related field
