Since finishing law school in 2017, Australian lawyer, Alice Zhou, has yet to clock a billable hour. She has, however, worked as a paralegal at a leading Australian law firm, for two judges of the NSW Court of Appeal, and completed a postgraduate law degree overseas. Join Alice for a Q&A about her post-law school experiences and taking the scenic route to private practice.
Alice graduated from the University of Sydney with a BSc (Adv)/LLB (Hons I). While at university, Alice achieved success as World Champion and Best Oralist of the Philip C Jessup International Law Moot. She also served as President of the Sydney University Law Society. After graduation, Alice worked as Tipstaff and Researcher to the President of the NSW Court of Appeal. Alice recently read for a BCL at the University of Oxford, where she was jointly awarded the Vinerian Scholarship Proxime Accessit
