Learning Environments – Looking to the Future

Join Monash University’s Education Futures and Learning Environments Australasia (Victorian Chapter) for the Learning Environments Forum. This free public event will feature international and local speakers known for their work in this area.

Modern schooling is required to prepare students as lifelong learners who have developed the knowledge and dispositions to succeed in work and life in our rapidly changing twenty-first century societies. Emphasis is placed upon innovative and creative problem solving, communication and collaboration.

In Australia, like many other countries, a key strategy in working towards this goal is to reshape the design of the physical environment for modern learning.

International and Australian researchers along with architects and education leaders will provide unique perspectives regarding:

  • the vision and design of newly designed schools and higher education buildings
  • expectations and experiences of those who work and learn in these spaces
  • the implications on what this work means for policy and practice.
