Peer Review of Teaching at Monash

A little collaboration can go a long way!
Since April 2019, 266 peer reviews of teaching have been completed using the Monash system ‘PeerView’. Monash colleagues review each other’s teaching and offer insights and suggestions. This process rounds out our student perspectives gained via the SETU process.
Those reviewed are finding the suggestions offered by reviewers make a difference! This has been seen through feedback sent from reviewees to reviewers. It reflects the positive impact of the process, for both reviewees and reviewers.
“At the time I felt less confident when facing a large class… I will definitely integrate your suggestions and methods for active learning into my lectures.”
“Last week I implemented your suggestions. The in-class exercise worked well last week as students were more positively engaged”
