Student projects

Promoting learner-centred experiences

Monash University students are contributing to the broader learning experiences of themselves and their peers through a range of student-led projects.

Initiated by Monash Education Innovation, these student projects are offered as a scholarship with a research focus. Current projects include:

Learning spaces: Create a better campus
This project aims to design and evaluate a new informal learning space. The space will be developed inside the Menzies Buildingand the results of the evaluation will be used to inform the design of future student-centred spaces.

Student experience: Showcasing excellence in teaching
This project aims to showcase teaching excellence. Students will engage with academics, fellow students and the wider Monash community to identify effective-practice teaching and then propose how such practices can be best celebrated and more broadly incorporated into teaching at Monash.

E-assessment: e-Exam research
This project explores an aspect of the use or development of e-Exam technologies for the higher education sector, specifically focusing on the areas of language translation and survey data analysis.

Online course development: Evaluate an academic orientation program
This project analyses student engagement and feedback from the ‘Achieving Success at Monash’ orientation program for commencing students and then will then make recommendations on how the program can be further enhanced for Orientation in 2017.
