Stephanie Foott - Interim Director, Resources
Stephanie Foott is responsible for all aspects of resource management and resource discovery; for the Library’s information technology infrastructure and applications; and for the Library's relationships with the University’s international community, affiliates and partner organisations.
Ms Foott joined Monash University Library in 1991 and has had various roles at Monash, including Subject Librarian, Information Literacy and Publications Librarian and Library Web Manager. Ms Foott was involved in the creation of the first website published at Monash. She has led many projects for both the University and the Library in the implementation and operation of library applications and technology. Immediately prior to her appointment, Ms Foott was the Library's Information Systems Manager, in which capacity she provided leadership in all facets of library systems and had a key liaison role with eSolutions.
As the Director Resources, Ms Foott recognises a rapidly evolving environment where libraries need to be agile in adjusting to meet changing requirements. She has had a long term interest in harnessing technology to deliver a better experience for users.
- Provide effective resource management including, print and electronic resources, rare books, document delivery, lending services
- Provide library information technology infrastructure and applications including Primo, Alma, Aspire, Learning Capture, EZproxy
- Engage with the University’s affiliates, partners and international activities including Monash College, overseas campuses, vendors
