As a child, I always wondered about the literal and abstract concept of space. I occasionally wondered about outer space – how it is a space yet its limits and bounds are unknown? This conundrum directed me to what I felt most sensible to do: to create basic, small spaces. I love being able to spend my days doing metalwork, at my own space, making my own designs. To me there’s no excitement quite like watching solder flows and the moment when a piece is completely finished and polished!
During my study at Monash, I was taught to develop a way of ‘looking at’ things, be it a subject matter or a concrete object. This helps my approach in developing my design while maintaining my own aesthetic.
