Since graduating I’ve been living and working in New York City, working for a small two person residential architecture firm that works in both interior design and architecture.
In my work at Andrew Mikhael Architect we do a lot of residential projects and I like working directly with the clients. The ability to effect how people can live, work and feel in different spaces is fascinating.
The two Design-Builds were my favourite and most important aspects of studying at Monash. It was an opportunity to work with the actual materials at 1:1 scale. Learning the details and thinking about how things actually go together. As architects we have to meld the big conceptual ideas with the alignment of screws to put it together.
