Design, from the smallest detail to the entire form, affects how we experience the world around us. As an architect, it’s incredibly exciting to see my own designs making an difference. When I can spark an emotional response in someone to the space around them – whether through light, texture, form, or technology – it really makes the work I do feel worthwhile.
While studying at Monash, one of my favourite experiences was travelling to Prato, Italy. I was able to experience the rich and beautiful Italian culture, explore some of the most incredible architecture and art, and become completely immersed in the architectural “hub” of the world. Prato, and the rest of the Architecture course, really helped me develop my own style and approach, and the experience of working with some great firms and amazing tutors made the transition from student to graduate architect very easy and smooth.
