There is no other career like being an artist. You get to be the project manager of an ever‑evolving creative practice. There isn’t a limit to what you can produce and as a result, it’s engaging, responsive, and sometimes exhausting.
In addition to my solo studio work, I work in arts administration at the NGV. That keeps me in contact with the arts community and has given me the opportunity to forge many productive relationships and facilitate a variety of exhibitions and programs.
My peers at Monash really supported each other’s projects and the environment helped me develop my own practice. By studying the double degree, I was able to pursue my interests in both art and French. I was even able to go on exchange to a fine art school in France for a semester, which has led to a number of international opportunities since graduation.
