You can only book one machine at a time; the total duration must not exceed your estimated print time + 30 minutes.
Please refer to “Section 6: Slicing for FDM Printing” of the 3D printing guide for instructions on how to correctly estimate your total print time as well as the time the first ten layers will take to print.
Any print under your name must be setup (sliced), commenced by you. Please keep in mind, if you let another student use your details to 3D print - you are risking suspension from the facilities by not following correct procedure.
Unfortunately, there are too many instances of unlabelled lost USB/ SD Cards and the workshop does not keep a store of them. You can try searching the workshop and checking the machines you used that day.
To ensure the smooth running of the FDM machines we use approved suppliers and usually print using ABS, PLA and HIPS filaments. However, we do keep other types filaments such as PETG, Z-GLASS in stock .
If there is a use- specific filament that you need please speak to the staff at the workshop.
