From cutting lino to etching photographic images onto plates. This studio holds secrets to so many of the printmaking processes used to transfer images and words onto paper and all sorts of other materials.

To gain access to the E3 Print Studio spaces, staff and students must complete the General Access Induction.
Please note: some of the processes and equipment in the studio require specialist knowledge and students must be enrolled in or have previously undertaken a relevant elective or class to access them.
Photography

The Fine Art photography studio has a large range of equipment. Accommodating digital and analogue photography, moving and still image. Plus the supporting scanning and digital editing technology. All of this is complimented by a well stocked contemporary lighting studio.

Photography equipment booking
MADA has a range of AV equipment available for loan to staff and students. Equipment access varies depending on your enrolled units.
To view, book and borrow equipment, request to be added to booking system Cheqroom by filling out the form below. You will then receive an invitation and link to set up an account, after which you will be able to view equipment available and to make AV equipment bookings.

Painting & Drawing

MADA has a number of specific drawing and painting studios. Some are set up for life drawing, others are purpose built for painting while others are flexible to allow for new interpretations of the media. You will find most of these rooms on level 1 of Building D.

Image Capture & Virtual Reality

MADA provides an extensive selection of audio visual equipment to staff and students. This equipment accommodates film, photography, sound recording (on location and in a sound studio), lighting, presentations, installations, VR/360 video production, VR playback, motion capture, studio photography and green screen. All equipment is up to date and meticulously maintained. The equipment is intended to be used for teaching and learning purposes only and is organised with different levels of access depending on enrolled units and teaching criteria. MADA offers several video and photography units where specific equipment is required to complete assignments, so this equipment is made available only to these students during semester.
To access the Image capture studio:
Students and staff are required to attend an induction to familiarize themselves with operational procedures, studio rules and to be trained in the entry level processes and equipment. Please follow the link below to book a consultation.
