Join us Thursday 14 September @ 5pm to learn more about the MADA BFA Honours degree – a highly focused environment for students who want the opportunity to undertake independent research in Studio Practice or Art History and Theory.

The BFA Honours is a one year degree course in which students undertake an independent studio based research project. The degree consists of the major project studio research and a written mini-exegesis, with two coursework units (one semester of studio methodologies and one semester of advanced art theory). Students are supervised throughout the year by a team of advisors. Bachelor of Fine Art (Honours) – Art History and Theory

This stream of the honours degree enables students to pursue independent research in art history and theory, or in the broader area of visual culture. The degree consists of a combination of coursework and a 15,000 word thesis on a topic proposed by the candidate, which is supervised throughout the year by an appropriate member of staff.
