MADA Careers & Creativity Day
Find out about the varied careers an art, design or architecture degree can lead to, and have a go at a creative hands-on group project.
The day begins with an inspiring panel discussion with a variety of MADA lecturers and graduates – all practicing artists, designers and architects – about where their own career paths have taken them and job prospects they’ve encountered along the way.
From there, an ice-breaker activity will help you get acquainted with the day’s participants and familiarise you with Caulfield campus.
In the afternoon, get hands-on with a group project – there are six to choose from. If you’re interested in Fine Art, we’ve prepared a special session about the application process. (Admission to MADA’s other courses is by ATAR only; a folio is not required.)
Fine Art: Learn what to include in your folio and what happens in the application interview.
Visual Arts / Art History & Curating: View a gallery exhibition and create a performative and collaborative response to the works on display.
Communication Design: Invent your own large-scale game where players communicate and interact within the game.
Industrial Design: Design and build a prosthesis that enables a personal ‘super power’.
Architecture: Remix and reframe simple parts to form new living structures for a harsh environment.
Interior Architecture: Create a ‘space’ from reclaimed materials that tells us something about the world that we are in.
