Join us for a free public talk by Marcin Strzala. Marcin graduated from the Faculty of Architecture, Warsaw University of Technology (WAPW) where he holds position of Research and Teaching Assistant at Architecture for Society of Knowledge program, and acts as a Director of New Media Lab.

As a designer whose area of expertise includes both architecture and engineering, his research and teaching looks at applications of technology in the environment where the highly technical meets the human condition. He attempts to integrate the technical, the beautiful, and the environmentally responsive seamlessly into a built form. He believes it is the ability to work with all these factors fluently that creates projects of critical relevance.

His ongoing PhD research focuses on design, simulation and optimisation of internal microstructures of building elements manufactured via additive methods.

He recently joined Monash Art Design and Architecture as Architecture Innovation Fellow. During his residency at MADA he is going to trace implicative relations between digital, the vernacular and indigenous design cultures and research possible aggregative outcomes from integrating local logics in architecture following digital paradigms.
