2019 Victorian Architecture Awards: Presentation to Juries
Monash Art Design & Architecture are delighted to host the 2019 Victorian Architecture Awards: Presentation to Juries.
The Australian Institute of Architects Presentation to Juries offers contenders in the 2019 Victorian Architecture Awards an opportunity to address judges with their nominated projects. Judging will span 11 major categories, and address 8 specific criteria followed by a short Q&A. Featuring some of Australia’s most prominent architects, the Australian Institute of Architects Presentation to Juries is a rare opportunity for the general public to learn about the influences behind some of Victoria’s most innovative buildings and follow the architectural process from concept to construction.
The major event on Saturday will take place at Monash’s Learning and Teaching Building, which won a 2018 National Architecture Award. Tours of Monash University, Clayton Campus will also be run throughout the day and can be booked here.
Monash University's Future Building Initiative will have on display a Future Living System - a real-scale apartment mock-up with an 80sqm footprint, constructed from a range of manufactured parts and renewable materials including timber. This prototype was developed in a collaboration with Lendlease and The Innovation in Applied Design Lab at the University of Sydney (Design Lead, David Tapias Monne).
