Future Mobilities Workshop

Hosted by the Emerging Technologies Lab, the Future Mobilities Workshop will bring together academic and industry stakeholders to consider the social, cultural and experience-based aspects of the future of Autonomous Driving (AD) cars and Mobility as a Service (MaaS) in Australia and from an international perspective.
In this day-long workshop, participants from Sweden – Volvo Cars, Drive Sweden, and Halmstad University – and key Australian organisations will:
- Report on new research and innovation from the Digital User Experience team at Volvo Cars developed in collaboration with design anthropology researchers
- Discuss a proof of concept project funded by Drive Sweden, bringing a Human Approach to the prototyping of future MaaS in collaboration with Volvo and City partners, through design anthropology
- Outline and share from Monash: MUARC research; Design Mobilities Lab research
- Outline and compare the opportunities and challenges faced for future mobilities as outlined by key Australian organisations in this field - with Sweden and consider how we might learn from the exchange between the two countries and the industry- policy-academic relationships and research agendas and impact that we are achieving
