Join us for a lively panel discussion that draws inspiration from artwork generated by students at the Queer Creators Workshop.

This panel of staff and students from Monash Art, Design and Architecture will share personal stories and experiences responding to the theme of what it means to be a queer creator at MADA.

The customisable, student made "Creators Zine" will be available before and after the panel.

Panel Speakers:

Professor Naomi Stead is Head of Architecture in the department of Art, Design, and Architecture at Monash, and a member of the Ally program.

Luca Lana has instructed design studios at Melbourne Uni, RMIT, Monash University, and Melbourne Polytechnic. His research is driven by social theory and its interaction with art, urban and architectural practice

Darius Le’s work is located on the fringes of a curatorial architectural practice. She was recently conducting research on the Melbourne Olympics.

Alli Edwards spends her days designing, workshopping, and playing in her roles as researcher in the XYX Lab, and PhD candidate with WonderLab.

Marcus Shanahan is an architect who aims to create surreal, self-referential spaces which prompt seemingly polemic discussion.

Lia Dewey Morgan is a contemporary artist whose practice extends from photography, into an exploration of media, history and the structures that surround us."
