Pathways and scholarships

At MADA we offer a variety of pathways and scholarships for new students.

There’s more than one way to become a Monash student – here are a few of the options available.

Monash College

If you are ready to study at university but didn’t quite achieve the score to enter your dream course, Monash College will help get you there. By successfully completing the Foundation Year*, you’re guaranteed entry into the first year of courses at all 10 faculties at Monash. By successfully completing of the Diploma of Art & Design you could pathway into second-year at MADA**. For more information, visit

Monash Guarantee and Special Entry Access Scheme

The Monash Guarantee and Special Entry Access Scheme can help you get into a Monash course if you’re financially disadvantaged, live in a low socio-economic area, attend a Monash-listed under-represented school, or are an Indigenous Australian. For more information, visit

MADA Equity Grant

MADA has two grants of a $5000 one-off payment available to Year 12 applicants who are a) an Australian or New Zealand citizen, or hold an Australian permanent resident or permanent humanitarian visa, and b) financially disadvantaged. For more information, visit

MADA Grant

Based on academic achievement, MADA annually awards two first year students with a $5000 one-off payment. No application is required. Students who apply through VTAC will be automatically assessed. For more information, visit scholarships/find/merit-scholarships/mada-scholarship

MADA Architectural Design Scholars Program

Highly achieving Year 12 applicants to the Bachelor of Architectural Design will automatically be considered for this three-year scholarship of $6000 annually. Recipients will also be mentored by a leading Architect and have access to a leadership workshop series. For more information, visit
