By successfully completing the Diploma of Art and Design at Monash College, you could pathway into rst or second year at Monash Art, Design and Architecture, depending on the course and subject entry requirements and subject prerequisites. For more information, visit monashcollege.edu.au
Special Entry Access Scheme
If there are special circumstances that may have affected your education, the Special Entry Access Scheme (SEAS) can help by adjusting your ATAR. For more information, visit monash.edu/study/how-to-apply/entry-schemes/special-entry-access-scheme
If you’re nancially disadvantaged, live in a low socio-economic area, attend a Monash-listed under-represented school or are an Indigenous Australian, the Monash Guarantee is an alternate, lower ATAR that may be applicable to you. 1. Monash Indigenous Entry Scheme
This scheme provides an entry point for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander applicants into a range of courses with an achieved ATAR of 50+ (higher for some courses).

To be eligible for admission you must:
- be an Australian Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander
- achieve a minimum ATAR or equivalent of 50 (65 for Bachelor of Architectural Design; 65 for Bachelor of Art History and Curating)
- satisfy all prerequisites as listed in the VTAC guide
- submit a VTAC supplementary information form
- apply via VTAC.
2. Indigenous pathway programs
If you didn’t meet the entry requirements for direct entry through VTAC, you can apply for one of our specialised pathway programs. The Monash Indigenous Access Program (MIAP) and the Indigenous Non-Award Pathway (INAP) are designed to support you to start your studies at Monash University. The programs help develop skills that enable you to succeed in a university environment.

If you’re a Year 12 or IB student applying with an ATAR of 98.00+ (or equivalent), you may be eligible for one of our scholarships. We’ll award the top eligible commencing student in each of Art, Design and Architecture with $6000 per year for up to three years:
If you’re experiencing financial hardship, you may be eligible for the Monash Art, Design and Architecture Equity Scholarship, which provides up to $6000 per year for up to three years. For more information, visit monash.edu/mada-equity-scholarship
Tess Hill and Bill Hawtin Fine Art Scholarship
This scholarship provides current students in a Bachelor of Fine Art specialisation with the opportunity to undertake international travel to enhance their learning experience. Several scholarships, each of varying amounts, will be awarded to a number of eligible students per year.
- Currently enrolled students studying a Bachelor of Fine Art specialisation in Australia
- Students on low income
- Haven’t previously completed a degree or higher qualification from a tertiary institution
- The travel destination will be determined between the student and our Fine Art department.

Mobility Design Lab / Smart Pavements ARC Hub
The Monash University Mobility Design Lab in partnership with the Smart Pavements ARC Transformation Hub invites applications for a fully funded, 3-year PhD scholarship. The scholarship provides a stipend of $27,872 per annum tax exempt for three years along with additional travel support.
This scholarship is focused upon research addressing one of the key aims of the smart pavements transformation hub, i.e. that of investigating and speculating upon the future direction of roads and pavements in the light of emerging transport and societal technologies.
