Facilities

World-class facilities. Experiment. Design. Make.

Our Art, Design and Architecture facilities and technical workshops give you access to state-of-the-art technology that blend traditional methods of production with emerging and new technologies. You’ll take your ideas from concept to prototype using a range of techniques, materials and equipment.

Digital Fabrication workshop

A state-of-the-art prototyping facility where you’ll learn laser cutting, 3D printing, CNC machining, robotic fabrication and much more.

Hot workshops

Specialised workshops and studios where a ‘heat’ process is at the core of making and transforming metals, glass, wax, clay and other plastic materials.

Open spaces to work

Sometimes you just need a quiet space to work or chill with your friends. As a student, you’ll have access to numerous open spaces around the faculty. You can log-on to a Mac or PC loaded with a range of creative software to build your skills and work on projects.

Paper and image-based studios

Explore everything from contemporary image-making such as VR and 360 video to traditional printmaking techniques.

Technical assistance

Qualified technicians provide training, support and advice to all students on how to properly operate all equipment in our workshops and studios. As a student, you’ll go through training and induction for equipment in each specific workshop or studio area, including the required OHS training needed before you enter and operate equipment in any studio or workshop.

Wood and metal workshops

Learn traditional fabrication techniques and integrate them with emerging technologies in wood, metal, plastics and other materials.
