Yun Tae Nam, Melbourne Potluck
6-12 June 2017
Melbourne Potluck is a proposed public interactive for the White Night Melbourne festival that celebrates cultural diversity by bringing people together within a situation to share virtual food and drinks. Participants use a Web 2.0 application on their mobile devices to select an item of food or drink, which is projected upon the façade of the National Gallery of Victoria. Other participants can choose to share this food, or add their own favourites to the virtual dining table. Participants are engaged in social play, sharing food and conversing about it using the application or face-to-face communication.
This exhibition comprises the practical component of Yun Tae Nam’s PhD research.
MADA Gallery is currently undergoing renovation. Melbourne Potluck will be on exhibition at the Caulfield Campus, Building B, B6.27.
