These awards acknowledge the outstanding work of our Bachelor of Industrial Design graduates and are generously supported by the Brian M Davis Charitable Foundation, established by the late Brian M Davis AM, founder of Decor Corporation and a key figure to modern Australian industrial design.

Brian M Davis Mobility Design Award Winner: Andres Ferrandon
Andres Ferrandon’s TriVel is an electric cargo tricycle designed to address the current limitations of active and micro mobility, with an inbuilt polarised canopy to protect the user from weather conditions that would usually discourage riding. Find out more here.
Brian M Davis Design for Wellbeing Award Winner: Alessia Tsolakis
Alessa Tsolakis’s SPOT is a home self-monitoring detection device capturing and recording concerning moles to accurately identify melanoma symptoms. Find out more here.
In addition, the Brian M Davis 2023 Prato Travel award supports students in pursuit of great outcomes, offering funds towards travel to the Monash University Prato Centre in Italy. Congratulations to this year’s winners:
