Advancing a Design Approach to Enriching Public Mobility

A collection of design related research projects from around the world.

The research work described in this text enables a better understanding of the impact of design on public mobility in a rapidly changing operational environment.

Associate Professor Selby Coxon

This book examines research at the intersection of design and public mobility from both an academic and practice perspective. An eclectic collection of projects and topics not normally found in the mainstream literature on transportation, from implementing gender-sensitive design to examining how to reconceptualize future public interactions with mobility. The book brings together leading thinkers in design and mobility from around the world (including six colleagues from MADA) and from different modal perspectives, bicycles, trains, buses, cars, station infrastructure, all sharing insights into how we navigate the emerging public mobility landscape.
