Almond soup, the invention of perspective, a surge in classical learning and values the Renaissance defined a cultural rebirth that profoundly influenced the art, architecture, politics, science and literature of Europe.

This studio will be partnered with the University High School and will celebrate all things Renaissance as it aims to unpack what a ‘Renaissance Centre’ could be and explore what hidden opportunities that provides. Having direct involvement with the school, students will be asked to develop highly conceptual proposals whilst also engaging with the constraints of refurbishing a 70s building and contemporary learning pedagogies.

Before mid-semester we will be interrogating various individual programmatic components of the brief and then combining the esquisses to form an overall urban proposal for the project.

This studio will run 1 class form our studio in Carlton North & 1 class at Monash Caulfield.
