Never Ever Ever Ever Modern is an undergraduate architectural design studio lead by Luca Lana @ Monash School of Art Design & Architecture.

Nauru House (1977) developed by Nauru Phosphate Royalties Fund plays protagonist and notorious host to the third iteration of Design Studio Never Ever Ever Ever Modern. Exploring the role of ‘hybrids’ in forming new architectural models, Never Ever Ever Ever Modern asks participants to challenge modernist definitions by creating complex networks that intertwine relations between nature / human. The resultant architectural hybrids or Quasi Objects* act to demonstrate how non-modern practices can challenge current models of architectural practices and through extreme adaptive reuse offer polemic, yet useful design alternatives.

Participants will work individually but also as entire group to negotiate and to connect what will inform the final collective proposition. This will involve a large site model.
