My practice of walking is about the collecting of observations, the learning and building of self-awareness and curiosity. Walking gives me an opportunity for a slower and deeper exploration of places I pass through. The surroundings of everyday life, what I see, feel and experience is a strong influence. Glass is a material that is often present in my work, be it blown, slumped maps and lines or assembled fragments found on my walks. My art reflects a process in which I get lost in walking through suburban landscapes, expressing the intricacy and fragility of nature in our environment.
