Semester 2, 2020

Studio leader(s)

Industrial design is often seen as a problem-solving activity grounded in the needs of users in the here and now. Design for possible futures opens up student’s thinking to speculate on design solutions from parallel, distant, or divergent worlds. From corporations co-opting the COVID-19 pandemic to produce luxury face wearables, to imagining computing devices based on regional ideologies, students have embraced and questioned the seeds of these future worlds that are being built today.
