Master of Urban Planning and Design
Semester 2, 2020

In the 2020 Ecological City planning studio, students created an ecological active transport corridor using streets and other public land near where they live during Covid-19 lockdown.

Students considered the planning and regulatory context as well as the implementation of design concepts. Final Projects focused on improving climate resilience and ecological processes, safety, and the corridor’s general amenity and appeal. The corridor’s function is to provide sustainable active transport options and enhance ecological processes, whilst maintaining any regional transport functions it may perform.
