My investigation begins with steam and how it works alongside glass and vice-versa. Through experimentation, my work explores the limits of glass and creating stress and tension- rather than preventing it. The geysers and thermal mud pools in Rotorua, New Zealand, the grates and con-Edison stacks that are part of the New York steam system and kettles boiling on the stovetop at home are all connected in some way or another. It seems that there is an undiscovered intimate tie between them all. In my video work I attempt to make these connections visible.
