Thomas Odgers

A series of 3D prints and rendered works on paper, these works look at Monash’s Economics board room alongside historical painting, and certain political figures. The works include primitive textures, from outmoded 3D software, with architecture programs to create a discourse between an alluring board room aesthetic and the problematic nature of agenda-driven funding structures for the arts.

“I’m interested in the values Australia places on art and where we invest the power of funding and creation. 2015 has been a turbulent year for Australia's arts sector, and through the absorbing medium of tech aesthetics, I looked to disrupt and question these systems as they currently stand.”
