Guntur Sutiyono

Guntur supports ClimateWorks’ project management in Indonesia. He supports the implementation of the electricity roadmap and deep decarbonization pathway projects in Indonesia. Prior to joining ClimateWorks, Guntur worked for the Climate Policy Initiative and the World Bank as analyst covering topics including fiscal policy, public finance, climate finance, and environmental economics. He also worked as consultant for several projects in gender, energy, and forestry. Guntur has worked with governments, local universities, and civil society organizations on research projects and capacity building. He was a part of an expert team facilitating the Indonesia’s Ministry of Environment and Forestry, Ministry of Finance, and the Embassy of Norway in establishing an Environmental Fund Public Services Agency. Guntur has co-authored several reports in public financial management, fiscal policy, climate finance, land use, and energy policy.Guntur holds a Masters degree in Development and Resource Economics from the Norwegian University of Life Science, and a Bachelor of Economics from University of Indonesia.
