Amelia holds a Bachelor of Science Advanced – Global Challenges (Honours) from Monash University and a Masters of Science Communication Outreach from the Australian National University. During her undergraduate studies, Amelia undertook a range of science communication endeavours including leading the science communication organisation Let’s Torque and interning as a Sustainability Officer in remote Fiji. In her honours year, Amelia conducted research into the potential for a school-based microplastic citizen science program.
Through her Masters of Science Communication Outreach, Amelia was a member of the Questacon Science Circus touring schools around Australia in person and virtually to teach students about science in fun and engaging ways. She was also trained in a diverse range of science communication techniques and principles through the Centre for Public of Awareness of Science. She applies her understanding of science and her deep expertise in science communication to deliver impactful work at the Hub.
