As Project Development Officer, Tahnee brings her diverse experience in climate science, extreme weather and environmental security to a breadth of projects at the Hub. Tahnee supports the incubation of projects at the hub including overseeing the development of the Climate Classrooms project. Tahnee also creates bespoke graphics and resources with the Weatherzone app for the ClimatePulse project, communicating the science and impacts of climate change Australia wide. As well, she has conducted research into climate change communication in Australia and has authored a number of the hub’s reports.
Building on her double degree in Arts and Science, Tahnee has gone on to complete a Masters of Environment and Sustainability, specialising in Environmental Security. At the end of 2018 Tahnee was a member of the university’s delegation to the UNFCCC’s COP24 in Katowice, Poland.
Prior to joining the Hub, Tahnee worked in events management as well as a researcher in best practice climate change communication in the Pacific, on behalf of the Australian Pacific Climate Partnership and with the CRC for Water Sensitive Cities specialising in social resilience to extreme weather events.
