Information for Clinicians
The Australian Centre for Blood Diseases (ACBD) is part of the Alfred Medical Research and Education Precinct (AMREP). AMREP is an affiliation between Monash University and the Alfred, part of the Bayside Health network. Situated on the same campus as the Alfred, AMREP provides research facilities that support the Alfred. The close relationship between clinical and research facilities provides clinicians who have an interest in Haematology with access to state of the art facilities through both avenues. Clinicians have the opportunity to participate in clinical activity in Haematology at Bayside Health and Southern Health with the research support of ACBD. Key clinical areas available to clinicians are Haemostasis/Thrombosis including Haemophilia, Malignant Haematology and Stem Cell Transplantation, and non-malignant Haematology. Both health services also have robust Clinical Research Activity in all areas of Haematology.
