Clinical services and trials
Clinical Services
The Department of Clinical Haematology at Alfred Health provides an extensive range of in-patient and ambulatory haematology services. Acting as both a tertiary and quaternary referral centre the Department deals with high acuity malignant and non-malignant haematological conditions and includes an adult haemopoietic stem cell transplant service and the state haemophilia service.
Research is a continuing and integral part of the clinical work and clinician researchers are actively involved in numerous international, national and 'in-house' clinical trials and in basic research through the Australian Centre for Blood Diseases.
