By donating to our world-class research Monash supporters change outcomes for patients here in Australia and around the world. From drug discovery to translational medicine and clinical practice – our donors are responding to health challenges on a grand scale.
In its short 60-year history, Monash has secured its place as an international leader in medicine, nursing and health sciences. Our researchers are constantly making critical scientific breakthroughs - such as understanding superbugs on a molecular level, identifying the genes that drive behaviour, or finding ways to stop cancer in its tracks.
Donors to Monash are tackling the diabetes epidemic, creating smart inventions to improve attention in children and changing the way trauma patients are treated in emergency care around the world.
Monash University established Australia’s first dedicated academic Department of Diabetes at the Alfred Hospital in 2017, thanks to two transformational gifts from The Meydan Family Foundation and Elias and Colleen Jreissati.
