We would like to invite you to explore the undergraduate and postgraduate research opportunities available to you at the Central Clinical School (CCS) and School of Public Health and Preventive Medicine (SPHPM), located at the Alfred Medical Research and Education Precinct (AMREP) in vibrant Prahran.
This unique collaborative research environment encompassing Monash University, Alfred Health, Baker IDI and Burnet Institute brings together the skills of a committed group of researchers and clinicians complemented by a growing number of biotechnology, commercial and clinical trial activities that enable the seamless translation of research discoveries from the bench to the bedside.
For students considering a career in medical research, opportunities offered at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels can open many doors. Our work underpins the investigation into and development of new diagnostics and therapies for a wide range of diseases. Research strengths include allergy, immunology and respiratory medicine; infectious diseases; haematology and clinical sciences (anaesthesia, diabetes, gastroenterology and endocrinology, medicine, neurosciences, pathology, psychiatry, sexual health, surgery and trauma).
Comprehensive information regarding the projects on offer, the application process, and scholarship opportunities for undergraduate and postgraduate studies can be viewed here:

We recommend that students discuss their project/s with supervisors, as the application process requires approval from your potential supervisor prior to submitting your application. The information night is a great opportunity to do this.
Please join us at our Honours and Postgraduate Information Evening to meet our staff and students and see first-hand the exciting research projects on offer.
