A professional social worker and academic, Jacynta is employed at Monash University in the Health and Social Care Unit under the leadership of Professor Helen Skouteris.

She sits on multiple Expert Advisory Committees and is also currently undertaking doctoral research in the topic of Aboriginal cultural connection in out-of-home care contexts in Victoria at the University of Melbourne.
