Congratulations to Central Clinical School staff awarded Queen's Birthday Honours!

Central Clinical School had a number of staff awarded Queen's Birthday Honours over the long weekend. We're exceedingly proud of them and the service they've provided to the School and the community through their research, clinical practice and teaching.

Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor Richard Stark AM from the Department of Neuroscience was awarded the appointment Member in the General Division for significant service to neurological medicine, and to professional associations.

Adjunct Clinical Associate Professor Christine Ball AO from the Department of Anaesthesia and Perioperative Medicine was awarded the appointment Officer in the Military Division for significant service to anaesthesiology, and to medical education.

Professor Jayashri Kulkarni AM from MAPrc was awarded the appointment Member in the General Division for significant service to medicine in the field of psychiatry.

Hon Professor Anthony Buzzard AM from the Department of Surgery was awarded the appointment Member in the General Division for significant service to the international education sector, and to medical science.

Retired Professor Michael Grigg AM from the Department of Surgery was awarded the appointment Member in the General Division for significant service to medicine as a vascular surgeon.

And finally, the Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences, Professor Christina Mitchell AO, was awarded the appointment Officer in the General Division for distinguished service to medicine in the field of haematology, to medical education and research, and to academic leadership.
