Episode #6 of our paramedicine podcast is now available. Hear from Dr Talal AlShammari about the efficacy of a core competency framework that aims to align the educational approaches between university-based EMS degree programs in Saudi Arabia.
Talal is an Adjunct lecturer within Monash University’s Department of Paramedicine and an assistant professor at IAU in Saudi Arabia. Talal discusses an article he has recently co-authored titled “National study of emergency medical services core competencies: a confirmatory factor analysis”

Talal has worked in the field of Emergency Medical Services (EMS) for over 15 years. His experience includes managing EMS departments, providing clinical care in and out of hospital and coordinating disaster management. His research interests involve the empirical development of paramedic competency and education.
