Perinatal brain injury research recognised with Faculty Senior Postdoctoral Fellowship

Congratulations to Dr Stacey Ellery on receiving the Senior Postdoctoral Fellowship from the Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences (MNHS).

This $35,000 fellowship will allow Dr Ellery, a Research Fellow in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, to continue her local and international program of work, assessing whether maternal dietary creatine supplementation can be used during pregnancy to reduce perinatal brain injury following preterm birth or birth asphyxia.

Dr Ellery said, “I am very grateful to the faculty for the salary support, particularly in this challenging funding climate for early and mid-career researchers”.
