Resources needed for gestational diabetes in South Asian women

Culturally appropriate resources are required to assist with recommended lifestyle modifications to reduce risks for future development of gestational diabetes or type 2 diabetes in Australia’s South Asian communities.

According to a letter published by the Medical Journal of Australia, Professor Danielle Mazza, Chief Investigator and Director of SPHERE and Research Fellow, Dr Asvini Subasinghe outline the lack of information about the implementation and uptake of guidelines in high-risk ethnic populations.
