Amy’s Researcher Profile


Amy commenced with Monash University, Nursing and Midwifery as a lecturer in 2019. Amy is the Unit Coordinator at Peninsula Campus for NUR 3310. Prior to this she worked in a sessional capacity for a number of years, within the Monash Nursing and Midwifery teaching second and third year students within the Bachelor of Nursing, as well as in the International Qualified Nurse (IQN) program at Monash University. Amy has experience in working with students in the clinical learning environment (CLE) and in academic marking.

Amy completed a Graduate diploma in Midwifery in 2006 and then a Graduate Certificate in Emergency Nursing in 2010. Amy worked as a registered midwife for five years, prior to moving into emergency nursing, where she has worked for the last 10 years and continues to do so on a part time basis. Amy also completed a Master of Nursing at Monash University in 2010. She has combined clinical practice with nursing education for the last four years, both within the hospital and tertiary sectors. Amy has a strong passion for education, as well as emergency/ high dependency nursing.
