Anne-Marie’s Researcher Profile


Anne-Marie O'Brien has been a registered nurse for over 15 years and originally worked and trained as a nurse in UCD and the Mater Hospital in Dublin. Anne-Marie has a Bachelor of Science (Hons), Post Graduate Diploma in Intensive Care Nursing and a Master of Education.

Anne-Marie’s early nursing career was spent working in Coronary Care and Intensive Care before moving into Nurse Education in the Alfred Hospital. She has also worked in a number of roles including both Undergraduate and Graduate Support Nurse in the Alfred, as well as teaching into the Bachelor of Nursing at ACU Melbourne. She is currently teaching into the Master of Nursing Practice program. Anne-Marie is passionate about educating the nurses of the future in a vibrant and supportive learning environment that prepares students to be motivated, caring, critical thinkers.
