A biopsychosocial investigation of recovery from concussion: The Take CARe studies

Vanessa Rausa presents on behalf of Dr Michael Tagaki, Murdoch Children’s Research Institute

Concussions are a common injury during childhood and most individuals recover on their own. However, a substantial minority of children continue to experience symptoms well beyond the typical recovery period. In this talk, Dr Takagi will provide a brief background on paediatric concussion and present results from the Take CARe project; an ongoing series of studies whose overarching goal is to examine concussion at all levels (i.e., acute, sub-acute, and delayed recovery) to improve outcomes for children and their family.
