Graduate programs

Our graduate programs provide every student with a dynamic training and learning environment with world class researchers and state-of-the-art resources and facilities.

Our researchers are ambitious modern thinkers, excited by what they do and driven to make a significant difference in the world. The impact of our scientific work and the quality of our researchers and facilities ensures that we will continually attract the brightest and the best candidates. Students enrolled in our PhD or DPsych programs will be inspired, mentored and guided by at least two research-active supervisors who are world experts in their field.

The School offers three graduate research programs:

Doctor of Philosophy

The PhD program involves the independent investigation of a research problem where the candidate is expected to make a significant contribution in their chosen field.

Doctor of Philosophy (Clinical Psychology)

Clinical psychology is a field which applies the scientific knowledge, methods and principles of psychology to the understanding, assessment and treatment of adults and children with relatively severe emotional and/or behavioural disorders.

Doctor of Philosophy (Clinical Neuropsychology)

Clinical Neuropsychology is a field which applies an understanding of the neural basis of cognition, emotion and behaviour to the assessment and treatment of adults and children with neurological and psychological disorders.

The graduate programs at master’s level are managed by the Faculty of Education.
